Steve Pierce (Left) and Arthur Reuben Russell outside his ‘Old Ironmongery Shop’ shortly before it was demolished and rebuilt by Alfred Godley in 1895. The Pagan ‘Green Man’ symbolism on each pilaster (pillar) that he included are still there today.
