The much loved JanTon News at 46 High Street is currently undergoing refurbishment and restoration for an exciting new development… watch this space!
The picture below circa 1881 shows the workshop (on the right, rebuilt in 1957) of carpenter Tom Pierce. It became JanTon much later. He lived in Banks Cottage on the left (-now West End Cottage).
