Market Place
History
This area was once a farmers Market Place, near to where Livestock were traded at Lamb Plat in what is now Cuckfield Road, opposite the end of Trinity Road. The Crossways developed through the 19th century, and following construction of the war memorial after 1st World War, which heralded a huge change in how this area looked.
